Plant Health Care Program
Our Plant Health Care Program is specifically designed on an individual basis because your landscape is just like a fingerprint – no two are exactly alike. Each shrub and ornamental tree has unique requirements for water, sun, shade and nutrient requirement as well as different disease and insect susceptibility. Your program is designed specifically for your landscapes needs and nutrient requirements and certain plants may not be treated during certain treatments due to environmental and or the plants seasonal growth cycle.
Our Plant Health Care program consists of the following applications:
Early Season Horticulture Oil Treatment
This application will help to gain control of egg masses and overwintering insects such as hemlock wooly adelgid and a wide variety of scales.
Spring Fertilizer Treatment
Our special blend of liquid fertilizer will be injected directly into the root zone of your ornamental trees and shrubs. With the addition of a special micro-nutrient package, this application will help plants to recover from the stresses of winter and generate healthy new growth.
Early Season Insect & Disease Control
This visit will consist of monitoring and treating for disease, insects and mites as necessary. This application will primarily target the first generation of spider mites, lacebug, and eastern tent caterpillars. We will also treat for diseases such as leaf spot, apple scab, anthracnose and rust.
Mid Season Insect & Disease Control
This application targets Japanese beetles as well as scales, mites, and any other insects that are active at this time. We will only treat for insects and disease as needed, in an attempt to reduce to the overall amount of pesticides used on your property.
Late Season Horticulture Oil Treatment
This application targets scales and insects present on evergreens including elongated hemlock scale, hemlock wooly adelgid and spruce gall adelgid. We will only treat for these pests if needed, and some properties may not have host plants in there landscape, making this an optional spray.
Late Season Insect & Disease Control
At this time we will monitor and treat for insects and disease as needed. This will target the later generations of mites, aphids, and lacebugs, as well as any diseases active on your plantings.
Fall Fertilizer Treatment
This late season fertilizer will help to strengthen your trees and shrubs in preparation for harsh winter conditions.
This application will help to prevent winter damage on the broadleaf evergreens present in your landscape, such as cherry laurel, euonymus, boxwoods, and hollies. For properties with large numbers of susceptible plants we highly recommend a second anti-desiccant treatment.
This soil injected systemic insecticide is used to control pests such as boxwood leafminer which can’t be controlled with a traditional spray. This treatment can be used to control a wide variety of other insects including scales, lacebug, aphids, Japanese beetles and many more.
This application is recommended if your landscape contains plantings that are very susceptible to winter burn.
