Summer is coming, and so are the mosquitoes. As any New Jersey homeowner can attest, a swarm of mosquitoes can put a damper on your evenings outdoors. New Jersey is also home to three common mosquito-borne illnesses: West Nile Virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitis Virus, and St. Louis Encephalitis Virus. A proper mosquito control program can help you take back your property and reduce your chances of contracting disease.
At Healthy Lawn our Mosquito Guard Program consists of five monthly applications from May until September. A barrier spray will be applied to the perimeter of your home as well as mosquito resting sites throughout the property such as trees and shrubs up to a height of 15 feet and in damp, dark areas such as under decks.
The homeowner also plays a vital role in prevention by eliminating standing water on the property. Once a week items that hold water such as tires, buckets, planters, toys, pools, birdbaths, flower pots, or trash cans should be emptied, scrubbed, turned over, covered or thrown out both outside and inside the home.
These steps along with our Mosquito Management Program will help to significantly reduce the mosquito population at your property.
